Gringo Restaurant serves good Latin-Mexican food (think of chicken, ribs, and steaks) that is perfect for the whole family. For the past six years, we’ve been planning to eat at Gringo Restaurant in SM City Fairview, but we couldn’t find the opportunity to do so. We finally had the chance to eat at Gingo SM City Fairview when we were looking for a restaurant that we had not yet tried. They were also having an in-store promo that time, so why not try it?

The ambiance was welcoming, but it was already lunchtime when we went there; as such, the restaurant was already very busy. In any restaurant, it’s a bit of a challenge to get the attention of the staff during peak hours, and it was no different at Gringo. Nonetheless, the staff was very cordial and patient in taking our orders, answering our questions, and explaining to us the mechanics of the promo.

For our food, we ordered Smokehouse Barbecue Ribs (quarterback with sides for Mommy Khris and me) and fried chicken (for the kids), since both servings were good for two. For the sides, we had rice and nachos. The prices were on the steep side, and we were on a budget, which is why we only ordered food for sharing. Of course, we wanted the kids to enjoy their meal, so we got them two pieces each of the chicken.

The ribs were delicious; they were meaty and had the right smoky and barbecue flavor. Meanwhile, I saw that the children loved the chicken because they were able to eat all of it, including the rice.
