I’ve previously seen OldTown White Coffee in other locations, but I haven’t really had the opportunity to try it. First, it struck me more as a coffee shop where you can have coffee (or drinks), dessert, and pastries rather than a restaurant serving full meals. Second, since I thought it was more of a café, it never really occurred to me that OldTown White Coffee serves kid-friendly meals.

Anyway, during one of our family weekend trips at SM City Fairview, we thought of checking the menu of OldTown White Coffee to see if there were any food items that we’d like. The menu contained mostly noodle soup dishes, rice meals, pastries, and their signature coffee blends. Since OldTown White Coffee is a Malaysian food chain, its menu is devoid of pork dishes in view of Muslim traditions.

For our family lunch, we ordered OldTown Special Springy Noodles Soup, OldTown Ipoh Chicken Hor Fun, OldTown Prawn Meehon Mee, fried chicken & chips, Kaya & Butter Toast (Double), Peanut Butter Toast (Double), OldTown White Coffee Hazelnut Cold, and OldTown White Coffee Hot.

The noodles were good; they’re perfect if you are looking for a warm and comforting soup-based dish to sip. These dishes had their own unique flavors, distinct from our very own mami and ramen.

What we really enjoyed at OldTown White Coffee were the pastries and coffee. I loved both the Peanut Butter Toast and the Kaya & Butter Toast that we ordered. Both went well with the restaurant’s signature white coffee blends that we tried.

Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience at OldTown White Coffee. In fact, we went back on another occasion and ordered our favorite coffee and toast.

All in all, OldTown White Coffee Restaurant is worth trying if you are looking for unique food items to try (Malaysian) or just wanting to have some coffee and dessert. It’s also great if you have kids with you because there are food items at OldTown White Coffee that children will also love.
