How To Make Delicious Malunggay Drinks

Last year, Moringa-O2 organized a Fambassador Fam Day as a simple get-together party for its partner bloggers and social media influencers. It was a fun-filled event where there were a lot of stories shared as well as prizes given away. One thing that I loved during the event though was the segment where Moringa-O2 invited a bartender and taught us how to make delicious malunggay drinks.

How To Make Delicious Malunggay Drinks

You might be asking, “What, malunggay in my drinks?” But trust me, they were delicious plus also nutritious. That's why I’m sharing two recipes with you. Again, these are original recipes from Moringa-O2.

The health benefits of malunggay or Moringa oleifera

I’m sure you’ve been hearing over and over again the health wonders of malunggay (Moringa oleifera) practically everywhere. Just the same, one can never overemphasize the importance of adding it to one’s diet.

For us Filipinos, consuming malunggay is a time-tested solution to increase breast milk in mothers. Malunggay is also rich in Vitamin A, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B6, and Vitamin C. It’s also a great source of protein, especially for those who are following a vegan or vegetarian diet.

Malunggay also works great in helping manage cholesterol levels, keeping excess body weight off, and in improving circulation. If you love malunggay pods (fruit), then you are lucky because it contains cancer-fighting properties.

These are good enough reasons to add copious amounts of malunggay to soups, ginataan (coconut milk-based) dishes, and pinakbet.

Aside from the above benefits to the body, malunggay extract can also help keep the hair and scalp healthy, that’s why Moringa-O2 shampoo and conditioners work well in managing hair fall to prevent eventual hair loss.

When I made these malunggay drinks, I was surprised with how good they tasted. I’m sure you’ll realize it, too, when you get to try it for yourself.
