Casa Renato is perhaps one of our best restaurant discoveries in Fairview, Quezon City. It was actually a friend who told us about this small yet lovely restaurant along Dahlia Street. He promised to bring us there and we were glad he did; Casa Renato turned out to be a gem tucked in a quiet nook.

We have been to Casa Renato on several occasions, mostly for special celebrations. During our first visit though, the restaurant already left us with a good impression.

The restaurant itself is small, with just around five or six tables inside, and a separate function room that could seat around six to eight people. The place is warm, friendly, clean and cozy. Because of its size, Casa Renato is perfect for intimate gatherings. There is a small event venue adjoining the main restaurant but that is usually closed and reserved for bigger parties like weddings and baptisms.
The first thing that you would notice in Casa Renato when you enter its door is the many antique pieces that are on display, such as a phonograph with an old record, old posters, and liquor bottles to name a few. We loved the fact that Casa Renato is not just a feast for the palate but for the eyes as well with the many beautiful decors inside the restaurant.
If you are taking your significant other on a first date and want to create a memorable moment, then you will not be disappointed with Casa Renato. The interiors are romantic, especially at night.

Food
Casa Renato's menu is predominantly Filipino, Mexican, Spanish, and American cuisines. Every time that we would eat here, we would order the meat-filled quesadillas and the creamy Caesar Salad for starters. I have also tried their pork belly, pan-seared tuna, beef salpicao, and some pasta dishes.

Among all the food that I have tried at Casa Renato, my most favorite is the pan-seared tuna. The thick slices of tuna meat were flavorful and juicy. It was drizzled with lemon butter sauce that complemented the fish really well and enhanced its flavors.

Meanwhile, the pork belly is a big slice of melt-in-your-mouth meat with a rich sauce. It was perfect with rice although I found it to be a little fatty.

On the other hand, the beef salpicao was a plate of tender cubes of beef in a delicious sauce of garlicky olive oil. It was also best enjoyed with a generous scoop of rice.
We would usually cap our meal with our favorite Brazo de Mercedes. This delicious cake is best paired with a cup of hot coffee.

Our verdict
Casa Renato consistently delivers in terms of good food, great service, and amazing ambiance. The servings are also hefty so these are great for sharing. The price is also just right considering the quality of the food.
The restaurant is perfect for just about any occasion. For those who do not like crowded places, Casa Renato is definitely for you.

ReplyDeleteMust visit po yung place gandan g ambiance and kahit yung food nila garantisadong masarap. Perfect place lalo na ngayong may pandemic pa kasi hindi crowded kaya mas madali masunod ng lahat ng customers ang heath protocols.
