Nono’s Miso-Glazed Salmon is Outstanding

If there is one dish that I keep coming back to at Nono’s, it’s the Miso-Glazed Salmon with red Rice. It’s actually just a simple dish of baked salmon fillet that is glazed with Japanese miso. It is served with red rice and fresh corn kernels.

Nono’s Miso-Glazed Salmon is Outstanding

For a solo meal, it costs P595, while for a big plate it costs P1185. I ordered it during our recent family lunch at Nono’s in SM City Fairview. What I like about it is that it tastes fresh; it has no fishy or “off” taste. The salmon fillet is meaty and flaky, and the miso glaze goes well with its great seafood flavor. It is cooked just right, allowing the natural richness of the fish to shine through.

What elevates the dish is the miso glaze. It adds a savory depth that complements the salmon’s flavor beautifully, without overpowering it. The glaze has just the right amount of sweetness and umami, making each bite feel indulgent yet clean.

The red rice is a great side because it balances the rich taste of the fish. It is a thoughtful touch. Its nutty flavor and slightly chewy texture provide a great contrast to the soft salmon, helping to balance out the richness of the glaze. The fresh corn kernels scattered throughout add bursts of sweetness and crunch, rounding out the dish perfectly.

I also think that this Miso-Glazed Salmon is perfect for the health-conscious because of the many benefits of salmon, as well as red rice. Salmon is rich in Omega-3 Fatty Acids; it is loaded with EPA and DHA, two types of omega-3s that help reduce inflammation, lower blood pressure, and support brain function. It is also good for the skin, hair, bones, and overall wellness. Read ride, meanwhile, is rich in fiber, antioxidants, and iron.

For its price, I know that Nono’s Miso-Glazed Salmon a bit of a splurge, but one that’s absolutely worth it. Whether I’m dining solo or sharing with family, this dish never disappoints. It’s comfort food with a refined twist, and I’ll keep coming back for it again and again.
