Wordless Wednesday: Galaxy Macau

August 03, 2022

The Galaxy Macau is a breathtaking sight especially at night.

One of my most unforgettable images during our trip to Macau was that of the Galaxy Macau at night. It was a spectacular view from our room in the Pousada Marina Hotel, our accommodation for our first night in Macau. The booking personnel at the Pousada Marina Hotel was kind enough to offer us a room that afforded a good view of the Galaxy Macau.

Galaxy Macau

Wordless Wednesday: Galaxy Macau

The Galaxy Macau complex looked spectacular with its soft lights that illuminated the whole property. It looked like a grand city from another world. The buildings were tall and imposing, indeed fitting for a world-class casino and resort destination.

I thought that the Galaxy Macau was a single hotel but I later realized that it was composed of eight first-class luxury hotels, namely Banyan Tree Macau, Galaxy Hotel, Hotel Okura Macau, JW Marriott Macau, The Ritz-Carlton Macau, Broadway Macau, Raffles at Galaxy Macau, and Andaz Macau.

If you book in any of the hotels at the Galaxy Macau, you will enjoy top-notch room accommodation with exclusive access to the hotel’s amenities. However, you don’t need to book a room to enjoy some of the top things that Galaxy Macau has to offer such as playing in its casinos, shopping in luxury stores such as Bottega Veneta, Alexander MacQueen, Balenciaga, Kiehl’s, and Blancpain; and dining in some of Macau’s top restaurants like the Galaxy Macau Tam Chai Yu Chun, Café de Paris Monte-Carlo, and The Macallan Whisky Bar & Lounge.

You can also just enjoy a leisurely walk in any of the hotel lobbies if this is what you fancy. Nobody will question you if you are a hotel guest or not. This is what we did at the Galaxy Macau, explore the Diamond lobby where we witnessed the spectacular Fortune Diamond show that left us in awe.

From Galaxy Macau, you can also ride the shuttle buses for free if you want to go to some of the most popular tourist destinations in Macau like the Largo do Senado and the Macau Tower.

  1. I hope to see Galaxy Macau soon. If we will travel again, post-pandemic, it would just be within the Philippines, I guess.
