Making the switch to Deonat
I made the switch to Deonat deodorant around the middle of the year 2020.
Before that, I was looking for a deodorant brand that does not smell artificial but will work just as effectively, especially during high physical activities when traveling. You see, I find the smell of other deodorant brands to be too artificial.
Yes, they smell good but it’s like a strong perfume; I thought they worked by masking the smell of sweat. Oftentimes, I would skip using deodorants on
weekends because I felt like I was using too many chemicals on my body.
I wanted something that would smell light or, if possible, would be scent-free
but could neutralize underarm odor naturally. Thankfully, I saw Deonat Natural
Mineral Deodorant Stick at SM Supermarket. It’s made of ammonium alum, locally known as tawas, and natural mineral salts.
I started using Deonat soon after. It was a solid stick that looked unbreakable. To use it, you have to moisten it a little with water then apply it like you would a regular deodorant. The true test, of course, would be its
effectiveness in neutralizing the smell of underarm sweat.
To be honest, I was a little doubtful at first if it will be tough enough to knock out odor because it was fragrance-free. However, it held up pretty well.
My armpits don’t smell anything; no sweat odor and no strong perfume smell.
It’s just how I liked my underarms.
Things that I liked about Deonat
I really liked Deonat and I will continue to use it for as long as it’s available in the market. If you are like me who are looking for a
natural-based deodorant, you might want to consider switching to Deonat.
Here are some more reasons why I like to use Deonat:
1. It’s practical to use
Donat is really practical to use. First, its price is really affordable. It’s
a bit higher than other regular deodorant brands but if you look at the amount
of product you are getting, you would realize that Deonat will turn out to be
much cheaper.
This brings me to my second point: since Deonat is solid, you don’t run the risk of overusing it beyond the recommended application. You have full control over the amount that you will use. I’ve been using it for almost a year now but I’ve only consumed half of it. It’s that practical.
2. It’s lightweight
This is another reason why I like Deonat. It’s lightweight and it's not sticky
so it felt like there’s no product in your underarms even after applying it.
There’s no need to wait for it to dry, you can put on your clothes immediately
after applying it.
Again, I’d like to mention that what really made me like Deonat is that it’s all-natural and scent-free so it doesn’t feel like you have anything on your armpits. While regular liquid and cream deodorants smell good, I still feel a bit uneasy because it seemed like I was putting so many artificial substances
on my armpits.
3. It’s no doubt effective
Deonat is just as effective as other regular antiperspirant and deodorant products. When I use it, I didn’t smell of perspiration even if I was active
throughout the day.
By being active, that’s not just my regular day-to-day activities while working from home. It includes my morning and afternoon playtime with my kids which involves a lot of chasing, running around, and carrying. Even after a long day of intense physical activities, I don’t smell like a caveman.
Trying the Deonat Deodorant Aloe stick
I recently thought of trying the aloe vera variant of Deonat Deodorant and I also liked it. It was as effective as the original/natural variant but it has a faint scent that is not overpowering or too strong.
It was also easy to use; just like the natural variant, it works best when the armpits are slightly damp (you can opt not to thoroughly dry your armpits after showering) so that it will just glide smoothly over your skin.
The Deonat Deodorant Aloe variant also kept me feeling and smelling fresh all day so it's a good option to buy if you want a deodorant stick with a slight scent.
