Here are the top reasons why we love Delimondo corned beef and luncheon meat products.
If we were to pick a favorite canned meat brand at home, it would be
Delimondo. We especially love the corned beef, but the luncheon meat is a close
second.
Before I proceed, let me say that I have been contemplating whether to write
this review about Delimondo or not because of the political connection of its
owner, who happens to be former Senator Juan Ponce Enrile, via the JAKA
Group.
I have read several posts on social media and blogs about people calling for
the boycott of the brand because of that,t but I reckon that, in the end, it’s
still a business that is providing livelihood to many people.
Anyway, I decided to push through with it because firstly, this is not a
political post, and secondly, almost all big businesses in the Philippines
have some political association, if not ownership.
My first time tasting Delimondo corned beef
I first tasted Delimondo way back in 2009. It was given to me as a Christmas
gift package that included a can of corned beef, a can of luncheon meat, and
some dipping sauces. I remarked how tasteful the packaging looked with its
simple lettering on plain white paper and said to myself that it must be
expensive.
I later found out that it was priced a little higher than other commercial
canned meats, but it was not really expensive at all. As to the taste, well, I
liked it immediately because it was flavorful and satisfyingly meaty. It
definitely did not look like a cheap product at all.
Fast forward several years, Mommy Khris and I saw cans of Delimondo corned
beef on the grocery store shelves. I said we should try it because it was
delicious, which we did. From then on, we would regularly buy Delimondo corned
beef and luncheon meat whenever we went out shopping for grocery items.
What we like about Delimondo
Aside from its delicious taste, here are some of the things that we like about
Delimondo:
1. It’s relatively affordable
Like I said earlier, I thought that Delimondo was an expensive brand but
it turned out to be an affordable product. Aside from being able to enjoy our
favorite corned beef and luncheon meat, we also give Delimondo products out as
gift items.
The prices of Delimondo corned beef products are as follows:
- Barbacoa - P189 for 380 grams
- Caldereta – P176 for 380 grams, P126 for 260 grams, and P86 for 175 grams
- Garlic and Chili - P176 for 380 grams, P126 for 260 grams, and P86 for 175 grams
- Ranch Style - P165 for 380 grams, P120 for 260 grams, and P81 for 175 grams
For luncheon meat, these are the prices:
- Original – P90
- Spicy: P91
2. It has different flavors to choose from
We usually buy the Garlic and Chili flavor of Delimondo but there are other
flavors that you can enjoy like Barbacoa, Caldereta, and Ranch Style. As for
the luncheon meat, there two varieties commercially available and those are
original and spicy.
3. It’s made of thick meat strands
Delimondo may be priced a bit higher than other corned beef brands, but the
slightly higher amount that you will pay is worth it.
You can see the thick
meat fibers in the corned beef, which is definitely satisfying, especially when
served with a side of a fried egg during breakfast. You can chew the meat
and enjoy its delicious flavors with each spoonful.
4. It comes in three sizes
Delimondo is available in 380-gram, 260-gram, and 175-gram sizes. As such, you
have the freedom to choose the size which best suits you and your family.
Where to buy Delimondo canned meat products
Delimondo is available in leading supermarkets, grocery stores, and even in
some convenience stores. You can also buy it online through its
official shop and through TIKTOK SHOP, LAZADA,
and
SHOPEE and have it conveniently delivered to your home.
Epilogue
Delimondo is a good canned meat brand. It is of high quality and is fairly easy on the pocket. It also comes in different flavors to suit the varying
tastes of Filipinos. Delimondo is personally our favorite corned beef and
luncheon meat brand.

This is great brand of canned meat. One of the high quality corned beef according yo to your blog. Thank you po for honest review. I'd never tried this corned beef before and yes true it is much expensive than the other commercial corned beef. The good thing is this is satisfying and worth it,ππ€©

ReplyDeleteNever kopapo natry ito at never ko din po nakita ito. Baka meron po dito sa mall na ganito pero hndi ko lang siguro napapansin. For sure masarap din po ito at Siguradong magugustuhan din namin ng family ko ito. Mahilig pa naman po kami sa corn beef. Lalo na kapag ginigisa nmin. Must try this po.
