Our Family Merienda Experience at Supersam Greenhills [Review]

If you're looking for a cozy place to enjoy coffee, dessert, or a light meal while exploring Greenhills Mall, Supersam Greenhills is worth considering. During one of our family visits earlier this year, we were looking for a place to rest after walking around the mall when this café caught our attention.

At first glance, Supersam reminded me of a classic diner. Its clean, welcoming interior and the display of freshly made cakes near the entrance immediately drew us in. Seeing those tempting slices of cake made the decision easy—it was time for a well-deserved merienda.

Here's how our visit went.

First impressions of Supersam Greenhills

One of the things I liked about Supersam is that it has an inviting atmosphere. The restaurant isn't overly fancy, but it feels comfortable and relaxing—exactly what you'd expect from a modern café where you can sit down for coffee and unwind after shopping.

The interiors are bright, clean, and spacious enough that you don't feel cramped even during busy hours. Whether you're meeting friends, spending time with family, or simply looking for a quiet place to enjoy coffee, the ambiance works well.

Since we visited as a family, having a casual and comfortable dining environment made the experience even better.

What We Ordered

Since it was merienda time, we decided to order a mix of coffee, dessert, and savory dishes.

Basque Burnt Cheesecake

The first thing that caught our attention was the Basque Burnt Cheesecake displayed near the entrance.

Thankfully, it tasted just as good as it looked.

The cheesecake had a creamy texture with just the right amount of richness. The lightly caramelized exterior added a subtle smoky sweetness that balanced the creamy center. It wasn't overly sweet, making it an excellent companion to coffee.

If you're visiting Supersam primarily for dessert, I'd definitely recommend trying this one.

Super Cheesy Baked Lasagna

For something more filling, we ordered the Super Cheesy Baked Lasagna.

As the name suggests, it was generously topped with melted cheese. Underneath was a comforting combination of pasta, meat sauce, and creamy layers that made it satisfying without being too heavy.

It felt more like comfort food than restaurant-style lasagna, which actually suited our merienda perfectly. The portion was enough to share, although cheese lovers might want to keep it all to themselves.

Coffee Drinks

No café visit is complete without coffee.

Iced Café Americano

The Iced Café Americano was straightforward and refreshing. It delivered the familiar bold coffee flavor without unnecessary sweetness, making it ideal if you simply want a good cup of black coffee.

It paired especially well with the cheesecake.

Iced Sea Salt Latte

The Iced Seasalt Latte offered something a little different.

The creamy milk combined with the slightly salty foam created a nice contrast to the espresso. The hint of salt enhanced the sweetness instead of overpowering it, resulting in a balanced and enjoyable drink.

If you prefer milk-based coffee beverages, this is worth ordering.

French Fries for the Kids

Of course, no family café visit would be complete without ordering something for the kids.

We got a serving of French fries, and as expected, they disappeared quickly. They were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and served hot. Sometimes, simple dishes end up being the biggest hits with children.

Service and Overall Experience

Our overall experience at Supersam Greenhills was pleasant from start to finish.

The staff was courteous, our orders arrived within a reasonable amount of time, and everything was served fresh. Even though the café attracts plenty of customers, the service remained efficient.

What I appreciated most was how the restaurant managed to create a relaxed environment. It wasn't the type of café where you feel rushed to finish your meal. Instead, it encouraged you to slow down, enjoy your food, and spend quality time with family.

That's exactly what we were looking for after spending several hours walking around Greenhills.

Is Supersam Greenhills Worth Visiting?

I would say yes.

Supersam may not be the biggest café inside Greenhills Mall, but it offers a satisfying combination of comfort food, quality coffee, and delicious desserts. Whether you're craving a slice of Basque Burnt Cheesecake, a hearty serving of baked lasagna, or simply a good cup of coffee, it delivers a pleasant café experience.

It's also a great place for families. The menu offers enough variety for both adults and children, making it easy to find something everyone will enjoy.

If you're planning a shopping trip to Greenhills and need a place to recharge, Supersam is definitely worth adding to your list of dining options.

Final Thoughts

Our family merienda at Supersam Greenhills turned out to be one of the enjoyable highlights of our visit to the mall. We initially walked in because the cakes looked irresistible, but we ended up enjoying everything else as well; from the creamy Basque Burnt Cheesecake and cheesy baked lasagna to the refreshing coffee drinks and kid-friendly fries.

Sometimes, the best café discoveries happen by chance, and Supersam was exactly that for us. It provided good food, good coffee, and a comfortable space where we could simply relax together before continuing our day.

If you happen to be exploring Greenhills Mall, don't be surprised if the dessert display at Supersam convinces you to step inside too. Chances are, you'll leave just as satisfied as we did.
