How To Make Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups Ice Cream

I could not think of anybody who does not love Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. I personally love the combination of chocolate and the slightly salty taste of the peanut butter in Reese’s. The contrast of the flavors leaves your taste buds wanting more. If you were to ask me if I had one favorite candy, this would be it.

How To Make Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups Ice Cream

I like it so much that I decided to make it into ice cream when we bought a large bag of it. We usually chill our Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups in the refrigerator before eating them so I figured it will also yield amazing results as an ice cream flavor. Plus, it was summer so it’s just proper to have ice cream as a dessert.

What’s good about this recipe is that it requires only a few ingredients. Furthermore, you can easily buy these ingredients in the supermarket, grocery stores, and even convenience stores. If you are not keen to go out of the house, you can even order online and have the ingredients delivered to your doorstep.

Is Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups healthy? Yes, if you consume it moderately because it will provide you some healthy proteins from peanuts, some sodium from salt, and sugar for energy. Anyway, anything in excess is definitely bad for you. Do take note of Reese’s ingredients and allergy information as well before eating it just to be on the safe side.

How to make Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups ice cream

To make Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups ice cream, you need to prepare the following ingredients:

That’s it, just two ingredients. For the kitchen tools, you will need a blender, a mixing bowl, a spoon or ladle, a beater (manual or electronic), an ice cream churn (optional), and an ice cream container.

Start by crumbling the peanut butter cups into smaller pieces using your fingers. Reserve two to three pieces of Reese’s chocolate which you can add to the final ice cream mixture for added texture. Once you are done, put it in a blender together with one carton of all-purpose cream and blitz until smooth.

In a separate bowl, lightly beat the remaining carton of all-purpose cream until slightly foamy. I just use a fork to whisk it but you can use an electronic beater for faster and even better results.

Fold in the Reese’s and cream mixture into the beaten cream and mix. No need to sweeten this as this is already flavorful as it is. Crumble the remaining three pieces of Reese's chocolate and sprinkle them in the mixture. No need to melt the chocolate crumble because you want small chunks of it in your ice cream for texture.

Transfer to your desired ice cream container and freeze for four hours or overnight. If you have an ice cream churn, you may use it for a smoother finished product. If you have none, do not worry because your ice cream will not become too icy unless you freeze it too long.
