When one thinks of original Filipino restaurants, Gerry’s Grill would probably be one of those establishments that would pop in their head. Matagal-tagal na nga rin ang Gerry’s Grill and, in fact, I would say na kinalakihan ko na ito. From my college days to my early years of working, kilala ko na ang Gerry’s Grill. Pag may office lunch out at may malapit na Gerry’s Grill, expect na magkakayayaan dito. Kahit na nga after office, madalas din na puntahan ang Gerry’s Grill.

    Ngayon na nagkapamilya na ako, nagkaroon ako ulit ng chance na dalhin ang family ko sa Gerry’s Grill. Good thing at meron branch sa SM City Fairview, na malapit lang sa amin.

    What we ordered at Gerry’s Grill


    We ordered potato chips for appetizers, then Beef Bulalo because the kids love this soup. Then nag-order din kami ng pancit bihon guisado topped with lechon kawali and crispy Bicol Express. Tapos nag-crave din pala ako ng pork sisig kaya nag-order din kami. For dessert, we had halo-halo.

    Approved sa kids ang beef bulalo ng Gerry’s Grill kasi marami sila nakain. Yung pansit, masarap din. Magandang addition yung lechon kawala para complete meal sya. Yung crispy Bicol Express masarap naman pero wala naman kakaiba sa kanya. Kumbaga ok sya pero hindi naman special. As for the pork sisig, I still think it’s one of the best pork sisig locally (or at least sa mga natikman ko na).

    Yung halo-halo buti na lang small lang ang inorder naming kasi super busog na kami by the time we had dessert. Masarap din sya, pantanggal umay sa mga rich food na kinain naming.

    All in all, it was an enjoyable family lunch at Gerry’s Grill. Medyo may touch of nostalgia ang lasa ng food since bata pa lang ako kumakain na ako sa Gerry’s Grill.
