How We Organized a Bluey-Themed Party for Rafa’s 5th Birthday

When we asked Rafa where he wanted to celebrate his 5th birthday, he just said that he wanted to do it at home. However, he wanted to have a lot of visitors, similar to how his cousin had his birthday celebration. That settled, we asked him next what theme he wanted for his celebration, and he readily replied, “Bluey!” So we had a Bluey-themed 5th birthday party for Rafa at home (but we also arranged another one at his school).

Since straightforward lang naman yung theme and ilang beses na rin kami nag-organize ng birthday party ng mga bata sa bahay, alam na alam na naming ang gagawin. Bumili kami ng Bluey-themed items online, such as tarpaulin, balloons, loot bags, and giveaway boxes. I printed Bluey invitation cards (designed using Canva) and also thank you cards.

At dahil DIY nga sya, we arranged everything at home. For the loot bags, we bought candies and little toys online. We put these and the “thank you” cards in the loot bags. The balloons, of course, we inflated ourselves. We put up the tarpaulin, arranged the balloons, and set the food, loot bags, and cake on the terrace.

We also cooked food at home, had a tray of noodles delivered, and ordered a cake from Estrel’s Caramel Cakes. Nakakatuwa lang kasi yung cake, pwede na ipa-pick-up via Lalamove so bawas na yun sa mga need naming gawin on that day.

Syempre, hindi kumpleto ang party if walang games. We had the usual children’s party games like basagan ng palayok, stop dance, trip to Jerusalem, and longest birthday greeting. Iba talaga ang saya ng kids if they have many visitors. Speaking of visitors, meron kaming mga kids na kakilala sa neighborhood namin na laging ininvite pag may children’s party sa bahay. Kahit gabi na, ayaw pa rin ng mga bata tumigil sa games dahil super enjoy sila.

After the celebration, Rafa distributed the loot bags to his visitors.

On a different day, we also had a quick celebration at Rafa’s school. We re-used the tarpaulin, and balloons, made a fresh batch of giveaways, and ordered Jollibee for his classmates and teachers. Since may next class pa, we only had 30 minutes but thankfully, nag-enjoy naman si Rafa and his classmates and naka-kain naman siala ng maayos.

All in all, we were happy to have been able to give Rafa a happy and unforgettable 5th birthday celebration.

Pati lootbags natuwa kami kasi maganda at matibay. Practical talaga mag-DIY basta quality din yung supplies na makukuha nyo. In the end, enjoy naman lahat especially ang birthday celebrant.😄 @Khris Jose #dadonthemoveph #ivankhristravels #gratefuldad #familytravel #foodiefam #dadblogger #fyp #fypシ゚viral ♬ cute kawaii - nanaacom
