The Tony Award-winning musical comedy MONTY PYTHON’S SPAMALOT is back to bring loads of laughter to Philippine fans. The repeat run will be from April 13 to 22, 2018 at the Globe Auditorium, Maybank Performing Arts Theater, 26th Street corner 9th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
MONTY PYTHON’S SPAMALOT stars veteran singer and multi-awarded actress Rachel Alejandro, theater great Carla Guevara-Laforteza, and veteran stage actor Lorenz Martinez, among many other notable cast members.
The initial Philippine run of the musical, courtesy of Upstart Productions, was directed by Joel Trinidad and Nicky Triviño, with musical direction by Onyl Torres and choreography by the Martinez Sisters. Some of the gowns used during the show were creations of top Filipino designer Francis Libiran.
The play is an adaptation from the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Both the film and stage productions are parodies of the Legend of King Arthur, however, both movie and play also differ in numerous aspects.

Described by The Manila Bulletin as “cheerfully deranged” and a “non-stop laugh fest” according to The Philippine Star), MONTY PYTHON’S SPAMALOT has earned top accolades abroad for its outstanding production including The Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical, the Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album, and the highly coveted Tony Award for Best Musical.
The play is applauded in many parts of the globe, including Australia, Hungary, Serbia, Norway, Japan, Ireland, and all over the United States and the United Kingdom.
