My love affair with old Manila continues as I return to my favorite Intramuros for a walking tour with Khris. We went around familiar landmarks such as Manila Cathedral and San Agustin Church. I took mostly black and white photographs to better capture the old world charm of Manila. We did not really have any plan in mind, it was just a random tour to see the beautiful buildings inside the walled city.
By early dinner, and without anything much to do anymore, we decided to just have dinner and probably coffee. We checked out restaurants where we could have dinner but couldn’t decide where to eat. We thought of just going to SM Mall of Asia (MOA), and have a brief stroll by the bay side. So off we went to SM MOA. It was already dark when we reached the mall. We immediately went to check the many paluto restaurants at the back of SM MOA. However, most restaurants seem to be closed, save for some establishments that serve liquor. Anyway, since we were already famished, we settled for Kimono Ken.
We had a fill of bento meals and crunchy maki with cream cheese. It was a good and filling meal, with the maki emerging as the most unforgettable dish in this meal. We wanted to have coffee and spend more time by the bay side. However, it was already getting late and we still have to go home to Novaliches. We took a 15 minute walk around the area, marveling at the liveliness of the place even if it were already getting late. Oh well, it was a good venue for families to enjoy time together, grab light snacks, and listen to the relaxing waves of Manila Bay. After our walk, we boarded a bus bound for SM Fairview and we were soon on our way home.
Anyway, Khris and I reckoned that we should go back to Intramuros soon for another walking tour and then try one of the restaurants in the area.
