Josh (Josh Dela Cruz) and Blue skidoo to New York City in “Blue’s Big City Adventure,” the very first movie in the “Blue’s Clues” franchise. Follow the duo as they meet new friends and discover the magic of music, dance, and following one’s dreams, as Josh gets the opportunity of a lifetime to audition for Rainbow Puppy’s Broadway musical. Fans across Southeast Asia can watch the movie starting April 29, 2023, on the Nick Jr. channel.

While the original animated series is a hit with preschoolers, the movie has much more in store for everyone in the family.

The feature-length “Blue’s Clues & You!” film is a sing-and-dance-along musical spectacular for the whole family, featuring all-new songs and choreography with the show’s beloved hosts and fan-favorite animated characters. The movie also features special star appearances by BD Wong, Ali Stroker, Taboo, Alex Winter, Phillipa Soo, and Steven Pasquale.

BLUE’S BIG CITY ADVENTURE follows Josh (Josh Dela Cruz), who gets the opportunity of a lifetime to audition for Rainbow Puppy’s (Brianna Bryan) Broadway musical, and Blue (Traci Paige Johnson) as they skidoo to New York City where they meet new friends and discover the magic of music, dance and following one’s dreams. 

The entire “Blue’s Clues” crew is reunited for this special movie event, with the beloved animated friends and all three hosts – Josh, Steve (Steve Burns), and Joe (Donovan Patton) – together for the first time in the Big Apple.

Produced by Nickelodeon Animation, BLUE’S BIG CITY ADVENTURE is directed by Matt Stawski and written by Angela C. Santomero. The film is produced by Traci Paige Johnson and Angela C. Santomero, and executive produced by Todd Kessler, Sam Sarkoob, Robert Unger, and Matt Stawski.

We can’t talk about New York City without mentioning Broadway – the iconic boulevard of world-famous theatres that is now synonymous with the art form itself. Look out for special appearances by bonafide Broadway stars BD Wong, Ali Stroker, Alex Winter, Phillipa Soo, and Steven Pasquale.

This movie also marks a full-circle moment for current “Blue’s Clues and You!” host Josh Dela Cruz, who played Aladdin on Broadway for five years straight before becoming Blue’s best friend. He flexes his musical chops in the movie’s dazzling song-and-dance numbers, filmed on-location in Times Square, Central Park, and other iconic New York landmarks.

On the movie adventure, Josh and Blue eventually come upon Taboo in Central Park, and the Fil-Am Black Eyed Peas member helps them find their song. Give it a listen, and get ready to bop along to other catchy numbers in the movie.
